Tender Description
Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, through its Health Welfare Committee, invites e-bids for the annual supply of essential medical items for mustahiq patients from the Zakat Fund for the financial year 2026-2027. This procurement is open to suppliers, manufacturers, importers, and authorized distributors registered on the Active Taxpayers List of FBR or SRB. The tender is being conducted via the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) under SPP Rule 46(1) using the Single Stage One Envelope Procedure.
Items being procured:
- Purchases of Drugs / Medicines (as per quoted price)
- Lab Tests / Biopsy Reports / Plasma Apheresis (as per quoted price)
- Local Purchases of Drugs / Medicines (24 hours / 7 days on emergency basis)
- Orthopaedic Implants (as per quoted price)
Each item requires a bid security of 2.5% of the total quoted price, submitted in the form of a pay order or demand draft in favor of the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi. The cost of the bidding documents is PKR 3,000 per lot, non-refundable. Bidding documents can be obtained and bids submitted electronically via EPADS. The deadline for submission is 29th August 2026 up to 11:00 AM, with opening on the same day at 12:30 PM in the Committee Room, 2nd Floor, Admin Block, Civil Hospital, Baba e Urdu Road, Karachi.
Eligibility criteria include valid NTN, GST registration, professional tax return for 2026-2027, financial turnover of at least 5 million PKR per year for the last three years, and satisfactory performance certificates from at least three government or semi-government institutions. All bidders must provide samples free of cost for quoted products and submit all required documents as per Annexure A. No advance payment will be made, and all applicable taxes and stamp duties will be deducted as per government rules.
