Dry Docking and Associated Repairs for 5th Special Survey of MV Chitral

Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) invites established shipyards and dockyards to bid for dry docking, associated repairs and the 5th special survey of MV Chitral, a 2003 bulk carrier. The vessel is to be accommodated at a suitable repair yard and dry dock, with completion within six weeks after issuance of the purchase order. The procurement is funded from PNSC own funds for financial year 2026-27 and is open internationally, excluding bidders from India and Israel. The printed schedule comprises item groups 1.01-1.09 for general services, including fire line, fire watchmen, cooling water, shore power, garbage disposal, cranes, communications, water supply, gas-free certification and tank cleaning; section 2 for docking and undocking; sections 3.01-3.11 for hull treatment, hydro blasting and painting; sections 4.01-4.11 for routine dry-dock repairs, valves, anchors, propeller, tail shaft, rudder and anodes; steel renewal items 167-192; section 5.01-5.85 for structural, deck, accommodation, hatch, safety, lifeboat, winch, crane and navigation repairs; section 6 for accommodation repairs; section 7.01-7.15 for deck cranes and winches; sections 8.01-8.93 for boiler, main and auxiliary machinery, pumps, coolers, piping and generators; and sections 9.01-9.32 for electrical motors, switchboards, transformers, breakers, wiring and alarms. Quantities and units range from lump-sum jobs and per-day charges to metres, square metres, kilograms, tonnes, pieces, units and man-days. Eligible bidders must be well-established shipyards or dockyards with Supramax dry-docking capacity, heavy electrical repair capability, hydro blasting, sand blasting, power tooling, steel renewal facilities and access to OEM services.
