Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGCP) invites bids for Electrical Welding of Tower Nut, Bolt and Application of Anti Rust Paint up to 08 Meter on the 500KV Multan-Muzaffargarh-II Transmission Line. This procurement is managed by the Chief Engineer Asset Management North at NGCP Multan, located in Multan, Punjab. The scope includes welding of tower nuts and bolts up to 8 meters height, fabrication/modification of tower off-size braces, and application of approved anti-rust paint on all welded points. The work must be executed in accordance with NGCP specifications and involves 157 towers on the transmission line. Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-5 or higher, be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) for Income and Sales Tax, and not be blacklisted by NGCP, WAPDA, DISCOs, or any government/public department. Experience requirements include completion of similar contracts involving 500kV or higher voltage transmission lines or welding and fabrication works on at least 300 towers of 220kV or higher voltage in the last five years. The contract duration is 90 days from the date of signing the agreement. Bids must be submitted through the e-PADS system by 30th June 2026 before 13:00 HRS, with original bid security of PKR 600,000 submitted before the deadline. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 13:30 HRS at the office of Chief Engineer Asset Management North, NGCP Multan. The bid security must be valid for 28 days beyond the bid validity period. The contract requires furnishing a performance security of 10% of the contract price within 14 days of the Letter of Acceptance. Bidders are advised to carefully inspect the site and understand all conditions before bidding. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of all required documents, including the original bid security, and to prepare a detailed construction schedule and method statement as per the bidding documents to avoid disqualification. The procurement process follows strict compliance with PPRA rules and NGCP's blacklisting policy to ensure transparency and fairness. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified firms specializing in electrical welding and corrosion protection on high voltage transmission infrastructure in Punjab.
