Tender Description
The Federal Government Polyclinic Islamabad (FGPC-PGMI) is procuring Electro-Medical Equipment specifically for its Orthopedic Department under the PSDP project for the financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27. This procurement is based in Islamabad Capital Territory and aims to enhance the orthopedic surgical and diagnostic capabilities of the hospital.
The technical scope includes a comprehensive range of electro-medical devices such as orthopedic operating tables with traction accessories, electrosurgical cautery units, 2D operative arthroscopy towers with shaver systems, pneumatic surgical drills and saws, plaster cutters, electronic pneumatic devices, various orthopedic instrument sets for large, small, mini fragments, interlocking intramedullary instruments, knee arthroscopy sets, pediatric elastic nail instruments, ilizarov instrument sets, portable ETO sterilizers, fumigation fogging machines, and trauma implant sets. All equipment must comply with international certifications such as FDA, CE, or MHLW and originate from USA, Europe, or Japan. Warranty periods range from one to two years with full spare parts coverage and prompt service response within 2 hours.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR and DRAP, possess valid manufacturer authorization, demonstrate past performance with public sector hospitals, and have technical and engineering capacity including factory-trained engineers and workshop facilities. Financial capability mandates a minimum annual turnover of PKR 20 million. Bidders must submit technical brochures, valid authorization certificates, and affidavits of non-blacklisting.
Key dates include bid submission and opening on May 5, 2026, via the EPADS v2.0 system. Manual submissions are not accepted. The bid validity period is 180 days. The submission address for original bid security is Federal Government Polyclinic (PGMI), G-6/2, Islamabad. The procurement method is Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS).
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to submit all required documents including original bid security physically before the deadline to avoid disqualification. Attention to detailed compliance with technical specifications and submission of complete documentation will enhance chances of success in this competitive procurement.
