Tender Description
Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) is procuring services for the establishment and operation of a Laboratory Collection Point (LCP) at its Medical Center in Quetta. This tender is specifically for setting up a fully functional lab collection facility within the SSGC Quetta Medical Center premises to facilitate sample collection, identification, temporary storage, and safe transport of specimens for laboratory tests prescribed by SSGC medical officers.
The scope includes patient registration, specimen collection (blood, urine, stool, swabs), pre-analytical quality controls, cold-chain maintenance, packaging and transportation of specimens to the main laboratory, safe handling and disposal of biohazardous waste, and timely reporting of results. The contractor must provide qualified staff such as phlebotomists and lab technicians, ensure staff security clearance, maintain equipment and consumables, and comply with all applicable laws and safety regulations. The contract duration is one year with an initial three-month performance review.
Eligibility requires suppliers to be active in the FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) and comply with SSGC policies. Bidders must submit a fixed bid bond of Rs. 50,000 and a performance bank guarantee of Rs. 150,000 valid for one year. The tender follows a single stage two envelope bidding procedure with separate technical and financial proposals. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS by 29th April 2026 at 12:00 hours, with public opening at 12:30 hours the same day.
The tender emphasizes strict adherence to bid submission requirements including signed and stamped documents, bid validity of 120 days, and compliance with technical specifications. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of both the electronic bid and the physical bid bond to avoid rejection. Also, bidders should carefully review the detailed scope and special terms to avoid disqualification due to non-compliance or incomplete documentation.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced service providers familiar with medical specimen handling and laboratory logistics, especially those with prior experience working with government or large corporate medical facilities in Pakistan.
