Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) invites bids for excavation of trenches, supply of 1st class burnt bricks, and supply of sand free of dust (coarse) for the laying of HT/LT underground cables in Islamabad. This procurement is under the jurisdiction of the Construction Division IESCO Islamabad and follows the WAPDA/IESCO specifications. The tender includes excavation works, supply of quality bricks, and sand for cable laying, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
Eligible bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and have valid FBR and ATL registration. Joint ventures are allowed but must meet specific criteria including registration with relevant authorities and demonstrated experience. Financial capacity and past performance will be evaluated, with a minimum turnover and cash flow required as per the tender document. The tender also requires submission of Earnest Money and CDR as per PPRA rules.
The tender closing date is set for 17th July 2026 at 06:30 AM, with technical bids opening on the same day at 10:00 AM. Bidders should submit their documents through the E-Bid system as per the instructions. The office of the Additional Director (VEC) IESCO, Head Office Street #40 G-7/4 Islamabad, is the submission address.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all JV partners are properly registered and that the technical bid clearly demonstrates past satisfactory completion of similar works within the last five years. This will strengthen the bid and avoid disqualification. Also, carefully review the detailed terms and conditions regarding the E-Bid submission process to avoid technical rejection.
