Tender Description
Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Ltd. (KS&EW), a prominent shipbuilding and repairing yard located in Karachi, Sindh, invites sealed bids from experienced sub-contractors for specialized ship repair jobs under Order # XSR-10375. The procurement is specifically for feasibility, survey, and miscellaneous repair and maintenance work related to marine vessel repairs.

This tender requires bidders to have proven experience in marine vessel repair work and to be registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments. The scope involves detailed technical and commercial submissions as per the bidding documents, which include specifications, terms and conditions, bid security, bid validity, bid opening procedures, evaluation criteria, and performance guarantees.
The bidding documents are available at the Ship Repair Division of KS&EW for a non-refundable fee of Rs. 3,000. Bidders must prepare their Technical and Commercial bids in strict accordance with the instructions provided. The bids must reach the Ship Repair Division by 07 August 2026 at 1100 hours. Technical proposals will be opened the same day at 1400 hours and evaluated against the technical pre-qualification criteria. Commercial offers of only technically qualified bidders will be opened subsequently.
Eligibility criteria include relevant PEC categories for ship repair or marine works, valid FBR registration, and prior experience in similar projects. The tender follows Public Procurement Rules 2004, Clause 23(5) and Clause 33.
