Tender Description
Karachi Port Trust invites bids for the supply, installation and commissioning of fire fighting equipment at Juna Bunder West Wharf, Karachi. This procurement is being managed by the M&E-II Department and is open to experienced firms in the relevant field. The scope of work includes:
- 03 Nos. Fire Fighting Pumps (flow: 1250 GPM, head: 10 bar)
- 02 Nos. Jockey Pumps for Fire Fighting System
The technical requirements specify that the pumps must meet the stated flow and pressure ratings, and all installation and commissioning must be completed as per the standards set by KPT. The project site is Juna Bunder West Wharf, which is a critical operational area for Karachi Port Trust, and bidders should ensure that their proposed equipment and installation methodology are suitable for port environments.
Interested firms must download the soft copies of the complete bid documents from the E-PADS system version 2.0 at https://epads.gov.pk. The bidding process will follow the Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure as per Clause 36(b) of PPRA Rules-2004 (Amended). Bids must be submitted electronically through the E-PADS system. Note that bids received through earlier versions of EPADS will not be accepted.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 16-09-2026 at 11:00 hrs in the office of DG(Engg) at KPT Head Office, Eduljee Dinshaw Road, Karachi. Bid security of Rs. 2,380,000 (Rupees Two Million Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Only) in the form of a Pay Order in favour of Chief Accounts Officer, KPT, must be submitted in original at the time of bid opening. The bid security must also be uploaded with the bid documents through E-PADS.
The deadline for bid submission is 29-09-2026 at 11:00 hrs, and bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 hrs in Room No. 32 of CM&EE-II Dept. at KPT Head Office. Bidders are advised to ensure all documents are uploaded in the required format and to attend the pre-bid meeting for clarifications. A practical tip: double-check the E-PADS upload confirmation and keep a backup of your submission to avoid last-minute technical issues.
