Tender Description
This tender invites bids for furnishing and plantation of trees along the Sukkur-Multan Motorway (M-5) covering two stretches: KM 550 to 659 and KM 659 to 772. The project includes planting new trees and maintaining them for two years, as well as upkeep of already planted plants. The work is located in Multan and Sukkur, requiring expertise in landscaping and horticultural maintenance along a major motorway corridor. The scope demands careful selection of plant species suitable for the local climate and soil, ensuring sustainability and aesthetic enhancement of the motorway environment. Engineering challenges include managing plantation in a linear infrastructure setting with traffic safety considerations and irrigation logistics.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC registration in category C-4 or above with specialization CE-10, and be registered with the Income Tax Department and on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue. The tender follows the Single Stage - Two Envelope procurement method, requiring submission of separate technical and financial bids. Compliance with PEC and FBR requirements for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory, including submission of Earnest Money and Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per guidelines.
The submission deadline is set for 26th January 2026 at 11:30 AM, with technical bids opening the same day at 12:00 PM. Bids must be delivered to the National Highway Authority office at Shahpur Interchange, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, Lahore. Prospective bidders are advised to register on the e-procurement portal www.eprocure.gov.pk as manual bids will be phased out soon.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security requirements, which are often overlooked but critical for bid acceptance. Also, monitor the official website for any addenda or updates to the bidding schedule to avoid disqualification.
