Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO) Gilgit-Baltistan invites sealed bids from qualified, experienced manufacturers, authorized dealers, importers, distributors, and suppliers for the procurement of Heavy-Duty Cargo Trucks for NATCO Freight Operations. These trucks are intended for operations on domestic routes within Gilgit-Baltistan and the Pakistan-China Cross-Border (KKH/CPEC Corridor). The offered vehicles must comply with the technical specifications and operational requirements prescribed in the bidding documents. Items being procured: - Heavy-Duty Cargo Trucks for NATCO Freight Operations (KKH/CPEC Cross-Border & GB Domestic Routes) The scope includes supply of trucks that meet high-altitude operational requirements, warranty provisions, after-sales services, and availability of spare parts as per bidding documents. The procurement is managed by the Northern Areas Transport Corporation with the head office located in Gilgit. Bidders must submit a bid security of 5% of the total bid value along with the Technical Proposal. Tender documents can be obtained from NATCO Head Office Gilgit and General Manager (South) NATCO Islamabad upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs.10,000. Eligibility criteria include valid NTN, GST Registration, SECP/Company Registration, Manufacturer's Authorization/Dealership Certificate, and no blacklisting by any government authority. Bidders must have at least 10 years of experience in supply/trading of heavy commercial vehicles in Pakistan and have supplied a minimum of 200 heavy-duty trucks to government or semi-government organizations in the last five years. A minimum average annual turnover of PKR 1.5 Billion during the last three financial years is required, supported by audited financial statements and a Bank Solvency Certificate. Bids must be submitted under the Single Stage - Two Envelope Bidding Procedure, with separate sealed Technical and Financial Proposals enclosed in one outer envelope. Technical proposals will be evaluated on criteria specified in the bidding documents, with a minimum score of 75 out of 100 required to qualify for financial bid opening. The submission deadline is 29th July 2026 by 11:00 AM at NATCO Head Office, Gilgit. The bid opening will follow at 12:00 PM the same day. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the original deposit receipt for the tender fee is attached with the Technical Proposal to avoid disqualification. Also, thorough compliance with technical specifications and readiness for possible technical inspections or factory visits will strengthen the bid.
