Tender Description
Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, is seeking to hire an experienced HR Consultant on a fixed term contract basis for one year. The position is based at PMDC Head Office in Islamabad, where the consultant will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The scope of work includes supporting the development and execution of the company’s Human Resource Strategy aligned with corporate objectives. The consultant will lead organizational restructuring, workforce optimization, and HR transformation initiatives to enhance effectiveness. Responsibilities also cover managing industrial relations, collective bargaining, and labor union engagement to maintain a productive work environment. The role demands designing compensation frameworks, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, and employee retention strategies. Additionally, the consultant will help develop performance management programs and SOPs to ensure compliance with labor laws and corporate governance.
Applicants must hold an MBA or Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized or international institution. A minimum of 20 years post-qualification experience is required, with 5 to 8 years in a functional head or leadership role in public sector organizations or SOEs with at least 2000 employees. Preference is given to candidates with mining or energy sector experience and cross-functional expertise in administration, supply chain, or industrial relations. The maximum age limit is 65 years at the application deadline.
