Tender Description
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is procuring Hydraulic Press Machines with Dies specifically designed for crimping cables up to 1000 MCM. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and is based in Lahore, Punjab. The technical scope includes two main items: a small hydraulic crimping press with interchangeable hex dies suitable for copper and aluminum conductors, and a 60 Ton hydraulic compression press powered by a petrol generator, capable of handling compression, repair, and restoration of transmission line conductors up to 500 MCM. The machines must comply with European standards and WAPDA/NTDC specifications, including valid type test reports from designated labs or an undertaking for fresh type tests at the bidder's cost. Eligible bidders must be registered with LESCO/DISCOs/NTDC/GENCOs and FBR, with at least one year of successful operation certificates for the offered equipment. Joint ventures are allowed with a maximum of two members, and all bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by July 2, 2026, 10:00 AM, with bid opening at 10:45 AM the same day. Manual submissions are not accepted. The bid security must be submitted physically before the deadline, and a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract price is required upon award. Bidders should ensure complete and signed documentation including technical data, manufacturer authorization, and financial statements. A practical tip for bidders is to register early on EPADS v2.0 and carefully follow the bid submission instructions to avoid disqualification. The procurement follows Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique and emphasizes compliance with all technical and contractual conditions to ensure successful contract execution.
