Tender Description
The NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi invites bids for the import, supply, installation, commissioning, and demonstration of laboratory equipment on C&F basis for the Textile Dyeing and Finishing Laboratory under the Department of Textile Engineering. This procurement is aimed at enhancing the academic and research facilities at the university, specifically for textile engineering applications.

The technical scope includes the supply of advanced laboratory equipment conforming to international standards suitable for textile dyeing, finishing, printing, and testing. The equipment must be capable of operating under local conditions in Karachi, including power supply specifications. Installation, commissioning, and demonstration of the equipment will be the responsibility of the supplier.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to have at least 3 years of relevant experience, an average annual turnover of not less than Rs 50 million over the last three years, GST registration with active status, and no history of blacklisting or litigation. Bid security of Rs 1 million and a performance bond of 5% of the contract price are mandatory.
Bids must be submitted electronically through the EPADS portal only. Manual bids will not be accepted. The bid security must be attached with the financial proposal, and the original bid security instrument must be delivered on or before the bid submission deadline.
The deadline for bid submission and opening will be as notified in the official NIT. The contract completion period is up to 120 days from the date of the letter of award. Maintenance warranty for 12 months from the date of inspection certificate issuance is required.
