Tender Description
The NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi invites bids for the import, supply, installation, commissioning, and demonstration of laboratory equipment on C&F basis for the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. This procurement is aimed at strengthening lab facilities in leading engineering universities and is specifically for the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department at NED University Karachi.
Items being procured:
- CNC Simulator with control panel simulating lathe and milling machine operations
- 15 inch LCD with 10 points capacitive touch
- MDI Unit supporting plugin keyboard
- Machine operator's panel with emergency stop button, override switch, manual pulse generator
- Universal power unit, program protect key, machine ready button
- USB memory, HDMI input/output media
- RJ45 communication interface with wireless connectivity
- Input rating 100VAC to 240VAC, 2.34A, 50-60Hz
- Folding bracket display mode in English
- Import NC program or edit program with MDI unit and 3D simulation
- Inch/metric switchable
- 10MB part program storage with 1024 registered programs
- 128 tool offset parts (T) and 400 tool offset pairs (M)
- Work piece coordinates G52-G59 plus 48 additional on mill and lathe
- Capability to connect to a computer network
The equipment must conform to international commercial standards and be suitable for operation in Karachi's tropical climate. Bidders must have at least 3 years of relevant experience, an average turnover of Rs 100 million per year for the last three years, and valid GST registration. A bid security of Rs 2.00 million is required along with a 5% performance bond. Delivery and installation must be completed within 120 days of the letter of intent. Bids must be submitted electronically through EPADS only; manual bids will not be considered.
The technical scope includes supply, delivery, installation, and demonstration of the equipment at NED University Karachi. The successful bidder will be responsible for shipment, insurance, customs clearance, and local transportation. Payment will be made in foreign currency for C&F price and in PKR for local charges upon satisfactory delivery and installation.
Bidders are advised to verify their bid submission status on EPADS to avoid disqualification. The deadline for bid submission is the date notified in the official NIT. The bid opening will also be conducted as per the notified schedule. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as per SPPRA rules.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all required documents including original quotations from manufacturers, bid security, and affidavits are submitted timely and correctly through EPADS to avoid rejection. Also, confirm your bid appears in the EPADS bid opening list to ensure your participation is recognized.
