Improvement of Basic Infrastructure, Street Lights, DWSS and Sanitation in Rural Areas of Peshawar

The Local Government and Rural Development Department of Tehsil Shah Alam District Peshawar is procuring improvement works for basic infrastructure, street lighting, and Drinking Water Supply Scheme (DWSS) along with sanitation in various rural areas of Peshawar. The projects cover multiple sites including Mamu Khatki, Jogani, Pajjagi, Hassan Ghari, Ghari Fazlihaq, Darmangi, Palosi, Babu Ghari, Haryana, Kaniza, Takht-Abad, Larama, Daag, and Abdara. These works involve street pavements, drains, culverts, street lights, and water supply schemes, reflecting a comprehensive civil and electrical infrastructure upgrade. The technical scope includes construction and rehabilitation of roads, drainage systems, installation of street lighting, and water supply infrastructure. The scale of work is significant, with estimated costs running into tens of millions of PKR for each site. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and enlisted with the Civil & Works Department under the Centralized Enlistment Policy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the current financial year. Firms must also be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and maintain an Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status. The submission deadline for technical and financial bids is set for 22nd June 2026 at 12:30 PM, with technical bids opening the same day at 2:00 PM. Bids must be submitted through the EPADS system and sent via registered courier to the Office of Assistant Director, Chamkani Mor Budhai Road, Peshawar. The bid security is required at 2% of the estimated cost, and bids remain valid for 120 days from the closing date. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that the technical proposal is meticulously numbered and includes a detailed table of contents as per the tender requirements. This attention to detail can prevent disqualification due to procedural errors. Also, timely registration on EPADS and early submission of bids is advisable to avoid last-minute technical issues.
