Improvement and Rehabilitation of HVAC Infrastructure at SQMS Directorate, Jinnah International Airport Karachi

Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) Karachi is procuring comprehensive works for the improvement and rehabilitation of HVAC infrastructure at the SQMS Directorate located at Terminal-I, Jinnah International Airport Karachi. This tender invites eligible contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) with financial category C-6 or above and specialization ME-01 to participate in the execution of HVAC related civil and electrical works. Items being procured: - Dismantling and removal of existing 1.5, 2 & 4 ton capacity cassette and wall mounted split A.C units (23 jobs) - Fabrication of M.S angle iron frames for outdoor split AC units with red oxide and enameled paint (10 jobs) - Installation of split type wall mounted 1.5 ton capacity 18000 BTU/Hr T3 DC inverter split AC units charged with Refrigerant 410A (2 jobs) - Installation of split type wall mounted 2 ton capacity 24000 BTU/Hr T3 DC inverter split AC units charged with Refrigerant 410A (6 jobs) - Installation, testing and commissioning of cassette type 2 ton capacity 24000 BTU/Hr T3 DC inverter air conditioners (5 jobs) - Installation, testing and commissioning of cassette type 4 ton capacity 48000 BTU/Hr T3 DC inverter air conditioners (9 jobs) - Installation, testing and commissioning of floor standing 4 ton capacity 48000 BTU/Hr T3 DC inverter air conditioner (1 job) - Installation, testing and commissioning of refrigerant copper pipes of various sizes (1/4", 1/2", 3/8", 5/8", 3/4") with fittings and aero flex insulation (50, 50, 810, 345, 465 Rft respectively) - Wiring for sub-main with 4 core 2.5 mm² copper conductors in UPVC conduit (283 meters) - Wiring for sub-main with 2x6 mm² PVC insulated wire including 2.5 mm² PVC insulated wire as ECC in UPVC conduit (260 meters) - Wiring for sub-main with 4 core 6 mm² copper conductors in UPVC conduit (193 meters) - Providing and fixing 10 to 60 Amps T.P MCCB on existing board including inter-connection (10 jobs) - Providing and fixing 6 to 32 Amps S.P MCCB on existing board including inter-connection (13 jobs) - Installation of new CPVC pipe 3/4" SCH 80 for drainage from indoor unit outlet to header socket with reducer bush and U clamps support (220 meters) - Laying of drain water header on false ceiling in CPVC pipe 2" dia with specials and U clamps support (154 meters) The scope includes dismantling, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC units and associated electrical wiring and piping works. All materials and workmanship must comply with the specifications and standards outlined in Annexure A, including compliance with NEECA standards and T3 climate rating for air conditioners. The site is Jinnah International Airport Karachi, and all works shall be executed under the supervision of the Sr. Joint Director (HVAC) and Engineer Incharge. Eligibility criteria require valid PEC license C-6 or above with ME-01 specialization, NTN and ATL registration, and experience in installation and maintenance of similar HVAC units. Bid security of PKR 400,000/- is mandatory. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS portal and original bid security physically before bid opening. The contract duration is 60 days from the date of written order to commence. The submission deadline is 2024-06-08 23:59:59. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, perform due diligence, and ensure compliance with all technical and financial requirements. Physical submission of bids is recommended but not mandatory. The bid validity period is 120 days. The contract includes a 12-month maintenance period post-completion.
