Tender Description
The Communication and Works Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa invites bids for the improvement, rehabilitation, and solarization of Jamia Masjid Abu Zar Ghafari located on Jaag Road Aslam Dheri Umar Abad in Peshawar. This project involves civil works including structural improvements and the installation of solar power systems to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability at the mosque site.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) and hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration for the year 2025-26 in the relevant category PK-6 and above. Firms should also be enlisted with the C&W Department and comply with all FBR and ATL registration requirements. The scope includes detailed technical and financial bids submitted electronically through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (E-PADS).
The tender submission deadline is set for 21st July 2026 at 12:00 hours, with bid opening scheduled the same day at 12:30 hours. Bidders must submit their bids via Pakistan Post, UMS, or courier before the closing time. Earnest money in the form of bid security at 2% of the estimated cost along with CDR and stamp duty is mandatory. The department emphasizes strict adherence to bid security rules, including additional securities for bids quoting below engineer estimates.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the technical and financial bids are clearly marked and submitted in sealed envelopes as per instructions. Also, carefully review the detailed rate analysis requirements to avoid disqualification for non-responsiveness. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for contractors with PEC category PK-6 or above to engage in a significant infrastructure and renewable energy project in Peshawar.
