Tender Description
Cadet College Jacobabad in Sindh is procuring the installation and commissioning of a 600 KV Solar Photovoltaic Power System. This project involves supply and installation of PV modules, mounting structures, lithium-ion batteries, inverters, earthing, surge protection, cables, breakers, LV panels, solar lights, fire extinguishers, control room, fencing, and all necessary components for a fully functional solar power system.
The technical scope includes robust materials such as hot-dip galvanized steel mounting structures, IEC and UL certified cables and connectors, lithium-ion batteries conforming to international standards, and inverters with MPPT technology. The system will supply electricity to hostels, main building, auditorium, and cadet mess with automatic switching to grid supply if solar generation is insufficient. The contractor is responsible for all civil works, concealed wiring, electrical modifications, battery storage arrangements, and site aesthetics.
Eligibility requires a valid PEC C-4 license with solar energy specialization, NTN and SRB registration, audited financial statements for the last five years, experience of at least one similar 600 KW project in the last five years, and submission of performance security. The bid must be submitted electronically via EPADS by 11 May 2026 at 12:00 hrs, with technical bids opened at 13:00 hrs the same day. Manual bids are not accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documents, including call deposits, affidavits, and technical staff lists, are complete and correctly attested to avoid disqualification. Pay special attention to the electronic submission process and deadlines to ensure your bid is considered. The earnest money is 2% of the bid price, and performance security of 10% is required upon award. The contract includes a 3-month completion period and a 5-year defect liability period with warranties on all components.
