Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply of advanced laboratory equipment for the Academic Block 2 at SNS NUST, Islamabad, under the Department of Chemistry & Physics. The procurement covers a wide range of scientific instruments including analytical balances, muffle furnaces, polarimeters, heating ovens, vacuum ovens, ice machines, hotplates, turbidity meters, pH meters, microscopes, flame photometers, electrophoresis kits, Kjeldahl apparatus, noise meters, water systems, fume hoods, sonicators, vacuum pumps, viscometers, and other specialized lab equipment. The equipment is intended to support both chemistry and physics labs, ensuring modern facilities for academic and research purposes at the H-12 campus.
The tender requires suppliers to submit detailed technical and financial bids through the EPADS online portal, complemented by a sealed hard copy of the technical bid with earnest money. Bidders must be authorized OEMs or distributors with valid NTN and active ATL status. The equipment must come with a minimum one-year warranty and after-sales support, including spare parts availability for five years. Delivery is expected within 8 to 12 weeks, with penalties for late delivery. The procurement emphasizes compliance with specifications, quality certifications, and proper documentation. The supplier is responsible for all shipment, insurance, and local transportation costs, with strict adherence to source and nationality restrictions.
Bidders should ensure PEC registration and active FBR tax status, as payments will be withheld if tax compliance is not maintained. The tender follows the E-PAK Procurement Regulation 2023, requiring bid security of 3% of the quoted value and a performance guarantee of 5% upon contract award. The financial bid must be valid for 120 days. The evaluation criteria include technical compliance, financial strength, after-sales service, and project experience. The bid opening is scheduled for 0930 hours on 2nd March 2026 at the SNS NUST meeting room.
