Karachi Port Trust invites bids for the major overhauling of a propulsion engine make Cummins 6 BT installed onboard GRP-VII. This procurement is managed by the Mechanical and Electrical Engineer-II Department located at M.I. Yard, West Wharf, Karachi. Items being procured: - Major overhauling of propulsion engine make Cummins 6 BT installed onboard GRP-VII The scope includes comprehensive mechanical and electrical overhaul of the propulsion engine to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The work will be carried out at the designated site within Karachi Port Trust premises. Interested firms must have relevant experience in engine overhauling and must comply with all technical specifications outlined in the bidding documents. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in the relevant category, active FBR registration, and inclusion on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). A bid security in the form of a Pay Order amounting to Rs. 68,000/- in favor of the Chief Account Officer, KPT, is mandatory. The bid security must be submitted in original at the time of bid opening, with a scanned copy uploaded through the E-PADS system. Bidding documents can be downloaded from the E-PADS System Version 2.0 at https://epads.gov.pk. Bids must be submitted electronically via the E-PADS portal by 23-09-2026 at 1100 hours. The bid opening will take place on the same day at 1130 hours in Room No. 32 of CM&EE-II Department at the Ground Floor of KPT Head Office, Eduljee Dinshaw Road, Karachi. Karachi Port Trust reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as per PPRA Rules 2004.
