Tender Description
This tender invites proposals from experienced sub-contractors for the rental of a 100 KVA marine diesel generator with operator and helper at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited, Karachi. The department requires a reliable power supply solution to support various systems on a ship under construction, ensuring continuous electric power provision with a 440 Volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz generator.
The scope includes transportation of the generator from the sub-contractor's premises to the shipyard and back after the six-month rental period. The generator must meet the specified power rating and frequency to handle the load requirements effectively. The site is located within the shipyard premises, demanding careful coordination and adherence to marine engineering standards.
Bidders should ensure they meet the necessary PEC category and maintain a valid FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Tenderers are advised to prepare their technical and financial proposals carefully, including all required documentation such as the Pre-Qualification Form, signed and stamped by the sub-contractor.
The submission deadline is set for 19th January 2026 at 11:00 AM, with technical proposals opening at 11:30 AM on the same day at the Development & Sub-Contract office, Ground Floor, Ship Planning Hall, Works Office Building, Karachi Shipyard. Financial proposals of technically qualified bidders will be opened later as notified by KS&EW.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to submit the technical and financial proposals in two separate sealed envelopes within a single package to avoid disqualification. Also, verify the tender fee payment receipt and ensure timely submission to avoid last-minute issues.
