Tender Description
This tender invites experienced sub-contractors in Karachi to provide a 100 KVA marine diesel generator on a rental basis for six months at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited. The department requires a generator with a power rating of 100 KVA, 440 Volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz frequency, complete with an operator and helper. The generator will supply electric power to various systems on a ship under construction, including transportation from the sub-contractor's premises to the shipyard and back.
The work involves supplying a reliable power source at the shipyard's shore area, ensuring continuous operation during the construction phase. The site demands careful handling and timely transportation of the generator, considering marine and industrial safety standards. The sub-contractor must be capable of managing the technical and logistical challenges associated with marine diesel generator rental services in Karachi.
Bidders should ensure they meet the required PEC category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the financial year 2025-26. Compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements will be scrutinized during the technical evaluation.
The submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on 19th January 2026, with the technical proposals opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the Development & Sub-Contract office, Ground Floor, Ship Planning Hall, Works Office Building, Karachi Shipyard. Bidders must submit their offers in a single package containing two sealed envelopes: one for the technical proposal and one for the financial proposal.
