Tender Description
The Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto General Hospital Quetta is procuring medicine consumable items, implants for orthopedics, general surgery, gynecological items, and children medicine. This procurement targets registered firms, pharmacies, and suppliers experienced in medicines and medical consumables. The scope includes a wide range of products such as medicines, consumable items, implants for orthopedics, general surgery supplies, gynecological items, and children medicines. The procurement will follow the BHCP Policy Guidelines 2024 issued by the Health Department of Balochistan.
Bidders must ensure that quoted items meet the defined specifications and have a minimum shelf life of 75% from the date of supply. The procurement process uses a single-stage, two-envelope procedure with least cost selection on an item-wise basis. Payment will be made within 120 days after completion via bank transfer. The financial quotation must be below trade price and comply with institutional rates.
Eligibility criteria are strict: firms must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) as active taxpayers with NTN and ATL certificates. Valid sales tax registration and a Drug Sale License issued by the Health Department of Balochistan are mandatory. Bidders must demonstrate financial capacity with a minimum annual turnover of PKR 10 million supported by a bank certificate. DRAP registration is required for all quoted items. The bidder must have a pharmacy or office in Quetta city with latest paid utility bills and tenancy or ownership agreement.
The submission deadline is Friday 19th June 2026 by 12:00 PM at the hospital office. Quotations will be opened on 21st July 2025 at 1:00 PM in the presence of bidders. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the affidavit on Rs.100/- stamp paper, duly signed by a Notary Public or Oath Commissioner, declaring past performance, price reasonability, delivery time, and non-blacklisting to avoid disqualification.
