Tender Description
The Pakistan Army's GE (Army) Jhelum is procuring a range of miscellaneous construction and maintenance works specifically for sites in Jhelum Cantt and Kala Jmr. This procurement covers a broad scope including provision of miscellaneous facilities, repair and maintenance of buildings and roads, internal and external electrical supply, water supply, and Sui gas connections. The works also include cleaning and hydrostatic testing of AVTUR tanks, epoxy coating of tanks, and various sewerage and road works at multiple military installations such as CMH Jhelum Cantt, 16 Engineers Battalion, 12 Engineers Battalion, 26 Signal Battalion, Military College Jmr, and POL Depot Taraki.
The technical scope is extensive and involves civil, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works across residential and non-residential accommodations for officers and soldiers. The scale of work demands contractors to have experience in similar military engineering services and the ability to handle complex maintenance and construction tasks. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and belong to approved MES categories A, B, C, or D. They should also have relevant experience in the type of works specified.
Bidders are advised to ensure their FBR and ATL registrations are up to date and to prepare earnest money in the form of a CDR as per tender requirements. The submission deadline and address will be specified in the tender documents, and interested contractors may attend the tender opening. It is crucial to submit a complete technical bid with all required certifications and documents to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the detailed scope of works and ensure compliance with PEC registration categories and MES approval lists. Early preparation of the technical bid and verification of all credentials will enhance the chances of success in this competitive tender. The department emphasizes the importance of timely submission before the closing date to avoid any last-minute issues.
