Tender Description
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is procuring Port Capacity Enhancement for Fibre Channel (FC) storage switches at both Primary and Disaster Recovery (DR) sites located in Islamabad and Lahore. This procurement is specific to enhancing the storage connectivity infrastructure by acquiring FC switch port licenses (32G SFP Port on Demand Upgrade Kit) as detailed in the tender documents. The technical scope includes the provision and installation of licenses for existing switches with specified port requirements: 8 ports each for two switches in Islamabad and 8 ports each for two switches in Lahore.
Eligible bidders must be authorized service providers, principal's authorized dealers, distributors, partners, or resellers based in Pakistan. They must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) for Income and Sales Tax. The bidder must also provide a valid Manufacturer Authorization Letter (MAL) and demonstrate a minimum of three years of relevant experience in storage business with supporting work orders. Compliance with technical specifications, warranty, and compatibility with existing storage solutions is mandatory.
The tender follows a Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure under the Public Procurement Rules 2004. Bids must be submitted exclusively through the PPRA's e-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) by 14:30 hours on May 07, 2026. The technical bids will be opened the same day at 15:00 hours at SECP's NICL Building, Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area, Islamabad. Original bid security of Rs. 300,000 in the form of a Banker's Cheque (Pay Order) must be submitted to SECP before the bid closing time.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure that your Manufacturer Authorization Letter and all compliance documents are complete and attached as per the tender requirements. Missing or incomplete documentation, especially for the mandatory technical criteria, will lead to disqualification. Also, familiarize yourself with the EPADS system well in advance to avoid technical difficulties during bid submission.
