The procurement is specifically for pre-fabrication (sub-assembly), complete block fabrication (assembly), welding, and grinding/fairing work of steel hull blocks of a vessel currently under construction at Karachi Shipyard. Items being procured: - Pre-Fabrication (Sub-Assembly) - Complete Block Fabrication (Assembly) - Welding and Grinding / Fairing work of Steel Hull Blocks The technical scope includes detailed steel hull block fabrication as per tender documents available at the office of Development & Sub-Contract (SB Division). The work requires skilled workmanship in steel construction, welding, and finishing to meet shipbuilding standards. The site of work is Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd., Karachi. Eligible bidders must be experienced sub-contractors or firms with proven expertise in shipbuilding steel construction. They should be registered with FBR and possess relevant PEC categories if applicable. The tender document is available from 13-07-2026 at the office of Development & Sub-Contract, Ship Planning Hall, Works Office Building, Karachi. Tender fee is Rs. 3000/- (non-refundable). Bidders must submit their offers in a single package envelope containing two separate sealed envelopes: one for the Technical Proposal with pre-qualification form duly signed and stamped, and the other for the Commercial/Financial Proposal. The submission deadline is 03-08-2026 by 1100 hours. Technical proposals will be opened the same day at 1130 hours in the presence of bidders. Financial proposals of only technically qualified bidders will be opened later as intimated by KS&EW.
