Tender Description
The Senate Secretariat Islamabad invites applications from reputable workshops and firms for pre-qualification to undertake repair and maintenance of official vehicles, including supply of tyres, batteries, spare parts, and accessories. This procurement is specific to Islamabad and Rawalpindi, aiming to develop a qualified panel of vendors for future procurement during financial years 2025-27.
The technical scope covers general repair and maintenance of vehicles including engine, body, electrical, and air conditioning systems. It also includes oil change, tuning, regular servicing, supply and installation of tyres, batteries, and spare parts, plus emergency repair services within Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Firms must provide after-sales service commitments with minimum warranties: 3 months on repair jobs, 6 months on spare parts or OEM warranty, and 12 months on batteries and tyres or manufacturer’s warranty.
Eligibility requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, a complete operational setup with qualified technical staff in Islamabad or Rawalpindi, valid NTN, STRN, and ATL certificates, sound financial position with audited accounts or bank solvency certificates, and affidavit of non-blacklisting. Firms must also have communication facilities and submit a completed checklist of mandatory documents.
Applications must be submitted electronically via EPADS by the deadline of 26th April 2024. Manual submissions will not be entertained. Interested firms should register with the Transport Branch for security clearance and attend the evaluation meeting. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documents are scanned, legible, and attested to avoid rejection due to incomplete submissions. Earnest Money and CDR details are not required at this stage as this is a pre-qualification exercise.
