Tender Description
The Project Management Unit of HESCO (HESCO) in Hyderabad, Sindh, is procuring a 110 V DC Battery Bank under the contract reference PMU-207/25-26. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2025-26 and aims to enhance the battery storage system capacity at the HESCO Colony, Hussainabad. The technical scope includes supply of battery banks with a nominal voltage of 110 volts, consisting of 55 cells each with a nominal voltage of 2.0 volts and a rated discharge capacity of 150 ampere-hours at a 10-hour rate. The batteries must meet the specified technical standards and be brand new with relevant certificates for country of origin and performance. Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR and possess relevant PEC categories if applicable. Experience in manufacturing or supplying similar or higher rated battery systems for at least five years is required, along with satisfactory operation performance for two years. The bid submission deadline is Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with bids to be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 10:30 AM. Manual submissions are not accepted. Bidders must submit a bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, Bank Guarantee, or Demand Draft, with the original bid security physically delivered to the Project Management Unit in Hyderabad before the deadline. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required documents such as previous supply records, technical data, and brochures to avoid disqualification. The procurement follows the Public Procurement Rules, 2004, and the evaluation will be based on least cost selection ensuring compliance with all technical specifications. This is a significant opportunity for suppliers specializing in electrical energy storage equipment to participate in a government project with clear guidelines and a transparent bidding process.
