Tender Description

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) PMU is procuring 132kV & 11kV Lightning Arresters, 11kV Post Insulators with clamps, and a 132kV Bus Disconnector for the 132KV Qurtaba Grid Station Muzang in Lahore, Punjab. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance the electrical infrastructure at the specified grid station. The technical scope includes supply of 19 units of 132kV Lightning Arresters, 36 units of 11kV Lightning Arresters, 6 units of 11kV Post Insulators with clamps, and 1 unit of 132kV Bus Disconnector with SSS and allied accessories. All equipment must comply with relevant IEC and WAPDA/NTDC specifications, including valid type test reports from designated labs or an undertaking for fresh type tests at the bidder's cost. Delivery is expected within 120 days from contract award, with inspection and testing conducted by LESCO representatives. Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR and LESCO/DISCOs/NTDC/GENCOs, possess PEC certification if applicable, and demonstrate prior experience with at least one similar contract supported by performance certificates. Joint ventures are allowed with up to two members, requiring a valid JV agreement and power of attorney. Bidders must submit earnest money in the form of a bid security and comply with all bidding document requirements. The tender is published on June 12, 2026, with a closing date of June 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0, with original bid security delivered physically to the 132KV Qurtaba Grid Station Muzang, Lahore before the deadline. Manual submissions are not accepted. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 11:00 AM via EPADS. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to carefully prepare the bid security documents as per the specified formats and validity periods. Late or incomplete bid security submissions will lead to disqualification. Also, bidders should prepare all technical documentation, including type test reports and manufacturer authorizations, well in advance to avoid delays during bid evaluation.
