Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) (Material Management Directorate) is procuring 50 KVA Pole Mounted Distribution Transformers for its regional stores located primarily in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Islamabad Capital Territory. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance the distribution network with high-quality transformers conforming to NTDC Specifications DDS-84:2020 (Amended to date).
The technical scope includes the supply of 300 transformers in multiple lots with staggered delivery schedules ranging from 45 to 165 days from the issuance of purchase orders. The transformers must meet stringent quality standards, including inspection by Chief Engineer (MI) PPMC Lahore and IESCO representatives, with random testing for iron and copper losses at EHV Lab Rawat. The supplier is responsible for all costs related to inspection and transportation for testing.
Eligible bidders must demonstrate manufacturing experience of at least two years, contractual supply experience, and financial capacity with an average annual turnover of 1.5 times the contract value. They must also provide proof of registration with FBR, valid PEC category, and no blacklisting or litigation history. Bid security in the form of Call at Deposit or Bank Guarantee is mandatory, along with submission of technical and financial bids through EPADS v2.0.
The submission deadline is Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM on the same day via EPADS v2.0. Bidders should ensure timely registration on EPADS and submit original bid security physically to IESCO Headquarters, Islamabad. The contract will be awarded based on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) criteria.
