Tender Description
The Hazara Electric Supply Company (HAZECO) based in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is procuring Battery Chargers under the financial year 2025-26. This procurement is aimed at enhancing the electrical infrastructure and ensuring reliable power supply through quality battery charging equipment.
The technical scope includes supply of battery chargers conforming to WAPDA/NTDC/IEC standards, with all design, materials, and workmanship meeting international electro-technical commission requirements. The equipment must be new, unused, and incorporate recent improvements. Inspection and testing will be conducted at the manufacturer's premises with a minimum 15-day notice for local goods and two months for imported items. The supplier must provide valid type test reports from accredited laboratories and warranty coverage for 24 months from acceptance or 18 months from installation, whichever is earlier.
Eligible bidders must have PEC registration, FBR/ATL compliance, and proven experience supplying similar or higher rated equipment in the last five years. Joint ventures are allowed with a maximum of two members. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation including technical bids, financial statements for the last three years, integrity pact, and manufacturer authorization. The bid security must be submitted as Call at Deposit or Bank Guarantee.
The submission deadline is Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 01:30 PM via EPADS v2.0 platform. Manual submissions are not accepted. Bidders are advised to register on EPADS well in advance and ensure all bid documents are complete and compliant. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the technical specifications and ensure all required certificates and test reports are included to avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation phase.
This procurement follows the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) method. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract price and comply with all contractual obligations including timely delivery within 150 days from the purchase order date.
