Procurement of Endless Handrails for Sigma (Vera) Escalators at Jinnah International Airport Karachi

Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) Karachi invites bids for the procurement of Endless Handrails for Sigma (Vera) Escalators installed at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi. This procurement covers supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, adjustment, and ensuring satisfactory operation of the handrails. Items being procured: - Sigma (Vera) Handrail Escalators (Endless), Model: 7539FWCX, Brand: EHC or equivalent, Color: Black, Quantity: 4 units, Length: 34.40 meters each The handrails must be fully compatible with the installed escalators without requiring any modification to the escalator structure or drive system. They should be made of high-quality reinforced rubber with a smooth, wear-resistant, anti-slip finish suitable for heavy-duty airport operation. The supplier is responsible for removal of existing handrails, installation of new ones, tension adjustment, synchronization with escalator speed, operational testing, and disposal of removed materials. Eligibility criteria include valid NTN and Sales Tax registration, active taxpayer status, no blacklisting, and compliance with PPRA rules. Bidders must demonstrate technical capability, including experience with at least two similar contracts in the last five years, financial capacity with bank certification, and provide technical literature confirming compatibility. A 12-month warranty against manufacturing and installation defects is required. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PPRA E-PADS portal with original bid security of Rs. 175,000/- submitted in hard copy before closing. Performance bond of 5% of contract value is required upon award. The bid validity period is 180 days. The delivery period is 90 days from contract signing.
