Procurement of Equipment, Glassware, Instruments and Chemicals for Integrated Life Sciences Lab at SINES, NUST Islamabad

The School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Sciences (SINES) at the National University of Science & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, is procuring a comprehensive range of equipment, glassware, instruments, and chemicals for its Integrated Life Sciences Laboratory. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2025-26 and aims to equip the lab with state-of-the-art scientific tools and consumables to support advanced research and education. The technical scope includes a variety of laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, compound microscopes, gel electrophoresis tanks, analytical balances, water baths, pH meters, and other essential instruments. Additionally, a wide array of glassware including test tubes, pipettes, burettes, flasks, and beakers is required. The procurement also covers chemicals and reagents like methanol, acetic acid, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, buffer solutions, and many more specialized consumables necessary for chemistry, genetics, and cell biology labs. Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR and possess relevant experience in supplying laboratory equipment and chemicals. Submission of a bid security of not less than 3% of the quoted value is mandatory. Bidders should also provide NTN certificate, sales tax certificate, company registration documents, no blacklisting and no litigation certificates, and evidence of similar supplies completed in the last three years. The bid validity period is 90 days. All bids must be submitted electronically via the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) by Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM. The procurement will follow the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required documents to avoid disqualification.
