Tender Description
Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) invites sealed bids from eligible manufacturers, authorized dealers, distributors, and suppliers for the procurement of a comprehensive list of expandable store items required for its operations at Taxila Cantt, Punjab. This procurement is conducted under the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure as per PPRA and Ministry of Defence Production rules.
Items being procured include a wide range of materials such as Granodine No.111, various sizes of Structural Steel electrodes, Silica Sand, Bentonite Clay, Charcoal, Graphite Crucibles, Chalk Powder, Steel Ingots, Emery papers and cloths of multiple grades, Asbestos ropes and sheets, Brushes of various types, Polythene envelopes, Binding wires, Copper and Aluminum wires, Timber products, Chemicals including Hydrogen peroxide, Methylated spirit, Nitric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, Sodium compounds, various metals like Zinc, Tin, Nickel, and Ferro alloys, Gases such as Acetylene, Oxygen, Ammonia, Freon, Carbon Dioxide, and many other specialized industrial and chemical supplies as detailed in the Schedule of Requirement.
The technical scope requires all items to conform to standard specifications and quality certifications, with delivery to SPF Factory, HIT Taxila within two months after contract signing. Bidders must submit technical and financial proposals in separate sealed envelopes, including required documents such as registration certificates, audit reports, NTN, sales tax registration, and a postal order of Rs 2000/- with the technical bid. Bid security in the form of CDR, Bank Draft, or Pay Order is mandatory.
Eligibility criteria include valid registration with HIT or relevant government bodies, financial soundness, past performance, and compliance with the Official Secret Act. The bid validity period is 120 days extendable by 90 days. The contract includes warranty and performance bank guarantees, with penalties for late delivery and non-compliance.
Key dates: Bids must be submitted by 28 October 2026 at 10:30 hours at Gate No 5, Heavy Industries Taxila, and will be opened the same day at 11:00 hours in the Supply Chain Management Directorate.
