Tender Description
Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd invites quotations from Pre-Qualified / Registered firms for specialized fabrication and maintenance works in Karachi. The scope includes the following items:
- Fabrication of high tensile steel structure
- Part assembly of high tensile steel structure
- Welding of pre-assembled structure in flat/horizontal/fillet/vertical positions
- Fairing and grinding works of weld seams for appearance and visual inspection
- Manual mechanical de-rusting and surface preparations of steel surfaces by hand and power tools
- Abrasive blast cleaning and grit blasting on steel surfaces and confined spaces
- Application of approved marine protective coating systems / painting
Firms must demonstrate experience in fabrication, part assembly, welding, grinding, de-rusting, and coating application on ships, marine structures, dry dock structures, steel structures etc. Preference is given to firms with high-performance marine coating systems expertise. Tender documents with specifications and terms can be obtained from the concerned department on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 0830 to 1600 hours from the date of advertisement till 24 Sep 2026, on deposit of Rs. 2,000/- (non-refundable) in favor of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd.
Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked 'APPLICATION F OR QUOTATION FOR DESIRED WORK' within 25 days from the date of publishing this advertisement, i.e. by **18 October 2026**. Karachi Shipyard reserves the right to reject any or all applications as per PPRA rules 2024.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the tender documents and ensure compliance with all technical and financial requirements. Earnest Money Deposit and valid registration documents should be ready for submission. Early submission is recommended to avoid last-minute issues.
