Tender Description
The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Regional Office, Islamabad (M/o Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety) is procuring a comprehensive range of goods specifically for PBM Shelter Homes located in Islamabad and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. This procurement includes essential furniture, safety equipment, and appliances to support shelter home operations. The items include steel chairs (3 in 1 sets), steel almirahs, metal detectors, fire extinguishers, trunks with iron frames, mattresses and covers, quilts and quilt covers, pillows and pillow covers, shawls, washing machines with dryers, and diesel generators (7 KVA). All goods are to be delivered to designated shelter homes after inspection at the Regional Office in Islamabad.
The technical scope covers supply of durable steel furniture with specified gauge thickness, high-quality mattresses and bedding with export quality covers, safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and metal detectors, and reliable electrical appliances including washing machines and generators. The generators are subject to final approval and must meet noise and power specifications suitable for residential use.
Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR, possess valid NTN and GST numbers, and provide a non-blacklisting certificate. Experience in supplying similar goods with a minimum of 3 years is preferred. Bidders must submit a bid security in the form of a pay order or call deposit and provide a warranty of six months on all items. The procurement follows the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method.
Key dates include the bid submission deadline on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day via EPADS v2.0. Bidders must submit bids electronically on EPADS and physically submit the original bid security to the specified address in Islamabad before the deadline. Manual submissions are not accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to carefully prepare technical documentation including company brochures and warranty papers for items like washing machines and generators. Physical inspection by the procurement committee is part of the evaluation, so readiness for inspection at warehouses or outlets is crucial. Adhering strictly to bid submission procedures and deadlines will avoid disqualification.
