Tender Description
Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Karachi invites bids for the procurement of advanced laboratory equipment for its Industrial Engineering & Management Department. This procurement is aimed at enhancing the teaching and research capabilities of the department with state-of-the-art instruments and devices.
Items being procured include:
- Computer Controlled Advanced Industrial Servosystem Trainer for DC Motors
- Mobile Robot Platform for Learning and Development
- 6-Axis Robot designed for Education and Research
- Large-format FDM 3D Printer
- Tachometer
- High Functionality Type Digital Torque Gauge
- Wave Wireless EMG (Electromyography) System with accessories
- 32 Channels Wireless Electroencephalogram (EEG) Monitor with Software
- Force Plate with Base Frame and Wireless Data Adapter
- Heart Rate Monitor (POLAR, Bluetooth)
- Digital Blood Pressure Apparatus
- Wireless Twin Axis Goniometers for Dynamic Joint Movement Measurement
- GoPro Infrared Cameras with Motion Capturing Pointers
- Personal Computer with two 22" LED Screens and Nvidia 3D Graphics Card

The technical scope covers supply, installation, testing, and training of all items at DUET premises. All equipment must be brand new, latest models from reputed international or local manufacturers with complete accessories and full compliance with technical specifications. One year comprehensive warranty and technical support are mandatory. Supplier must provide manufacturer authorization and complete brochures. Delivery is required within 60 days.
Eligibility criteria include valid NTN, GST, SRB registration, minimum 5 years relevant experience, minimum financial turnover of PKR 20 million, and local Karachi office presence. Earnest money in the form of bid security and tender fee must be submitted as per SPPRA rules. Bids must be submitted online via SPPRA EPADS portal with original bid security and tender fee submitted physically at DUET.
The deadline for bid submission and opening is as mentioned in the official NIT. Late or conditional bids will be rejected. Liquidated damages of 2% per day up to 10% of contract value apply for delays. Bidders are advised to carefully review all bidding documents and ensure full compliance. One practical tip: ensure all manufacturer authorizations and technical brochures are complete and signed to avoid disqualification.
