Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) (Material Management Directorate) invites bids for the procurement of LT Current Transformers for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is planned to be executed in Islamabad Capital Territory with delivery locations including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Rajjar. The procurement is governed by the Public Procurement Rules, 2004, and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 platform.
Items being procured:
- LT CT Ratio 100/5 A, Quantity: 500 Nos, Delivery Schedule: 50% within 45 days and balance within 75 days from issuance of Purchase Order
- LT CT Ratio 200/5 A, Quantity: 500 Nos, Delivery Schedule: 50% within 45 days and balance within 75 days from issuance of Purchase Order
- LT CT Ratio 400/5 A, Quantity: 400 Nos, Delivery Schedule: full quantity within 45 days from issuance of Purchase Order
- LT CT Ratio 800/5 A, Quantity: 100 Nos, Delivery Schedule: full quantity within 45 days from issuance of Purchase Order
The transformers must conform to NTDC Specification DDS-80:2007 (amended to date). The delivery location is IESCO Regional Store Rawalpindi/Islamabad/Rajjar. The technical scope includes supply of current transformers with specified ratios and quantities, to be delivered within the stipulated timeframes. Inspection will be conducted at the manufacturer's works by Chief Engineer (MI) PPMC Lahore jointly with Chief Engineer (MM) IESCO Islamabad or authorized representatives. The supplier must provide a warranty certificate and ensure conformity to specifications.
Eligibility criteria include valid prototype approval, registration as manufacturer with NTDC/WAPDA/DISCOs, no blacklisting, minimum manufacturing and supply experience, financial capacity, and submission of required documents such as tax returns, audited reports, and declarations. Bidders must be registered on EPADS v2.0 and submit bids electronically. Bid security in the form of Call at Deposit or Bank Guarantee is mandatory.
The bid submission deadline is Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day on EPADS v2.0. Manual submissions are not accepted. The contract will be awarded based on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS). The procuring agency reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 15% during contract execution.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and submit all required documents including bid security physically before the deadline to avoid disqualification. Early preparation of inspection call and compliance with NTDC specifications will facilitate smooth evaluation and contract award.
