Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) is inviting sealed bids from eligible and qualified suppliers for the procurement of LT PCC Poles 31' under contract reference P84817 for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is planned to support MEPCO's infrastructure needs in Multan, Punjab. Bidders must be registered on the EPADS v2.0 platform to participate and submit their bids electronically before the deadline of Monday, September 21, 2026 at 11:15 AM. The bids will be opened on the same day at 11:45 AM via EPADS v2.0. Manual submissions will not be entertained.
Items being procured:
- LT PCC Poles 31' (three lots with quantities approx. 2128, 2129, and 2129 units respectively)
The poles must conform to NTDC/WAPDA specification DDS-55:2006 (amended to date) and be supplied on an Ex-Works basis inclusive of transportation charges for non-designated pole plants, all taxes, duties, and inspection charges. Transportation cost for non-designated pole plants will be added at Rs. 12.5 per km from the pole plant to the nearest MEPCO boundary for evaluation purposes. The delivery period is 12 months with a 20% monthly schedule.
Eligibility criteria include valid FBR registration, prototype approval, satisfactory supply record with MEPCO/DISCOs, and compliance with bid security and performance guarantee requirements. Bidders must submit bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call at Deposit, or Bank Guarantee. Performance security of 5% of contract price is required upon award.
Bids must be submitted in English and comply with all technical and commercial requirements. The evaluation will be based on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique. Partial delivery and payment are allowed. Inspection will be conducted at the supplier's premises by MEPCO representatives. Payment will be made within 30 days of delivery and acceptance.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure timely registration and familiarization with the EPADS v2.0 e-procurement system to avoid disqualification due to late or improper submission. Also, carefully calculate transportation costs for non-designated pole plants as these will affect bid evaluation.
This procurement offers a significant opportunity for suppliers of PCC poles to engage with MEPCO and contribute to the power infrastructure development in Multan.
