Tender Description
The Cantonment Board Walton Cantt is inviting bids for the procurement of medicines in bulk supply for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is specifically for the Walton Cantt area in Punjab and aims to ensure a steady and reliable supply of medicines to meet the healthcare needs of the local population.
The scope of this procurement includes a wide range of medicines and surgical disposables. All supplied items must be fresh batch products with a minimum expiry date of two years from the date of supply. Each pack, bottle, or strip must bear a non-erasable stamp stating 'Not for Sale, WCB Dispensary use only'. The successful bidder will be required to offer an unconditional discount or rebate on the retail price in percentage terms. The supply will be for one full financial year, ensuring continuous availability of essential medicines.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the FBR and appear on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). They should also possess valid drug licenses and authorized distribution certificates or manufacturing licenses. The bid must be accompanied by a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) amounting to Rs. 500,000 in favor of the Cantonment Executive Officer, Walton Cantt. Experience in supplying similar items to government or large institutions will be advantageous.
Key submission deadlines and the exact address for bid submission will be provided in the official tender documents. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions outlined by the Cantonment Board.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all documentation, especially the drug license and CDR, are valid and properly attached to avoid disqualification. Early submission is recommended to address any unforeseen issues. This tender represents a significant opportunity for pharmaceutical suppliers to establish a long-term relationship with a reputable government entity in Punjab.
