Procurement of New 135KVA Diesel Generator for Karachi IT Datacenter

The State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) is procuring a new 135KVA diesel generator for its IT Datacenter located in Karachi, Sindh. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance the power backup infrastructure at the datacenter to ensure uninterrupted operations. The technical scope includes supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a Cummins 135KVA diesel generator set with Stamford or equivalent alternator, Deep Sea Control Module 4520 or higher, water-cooled radiator, industrial muffler, emergency push button, and a locally fabricated sound/weatherproof canopy. The package also includes complete earthing, manual override panel, heavy-duty batteries, anti-vibration rubber pads, and generator pad installation services. The generator must be capable of operating at 400V, 3 phase + neutral, 0.8 power factor, 50 Hz, and 1500 RPM. Eligible bidders must have a valid PEC category for related works, be registered with FBR and ATL, and demonstrate proven experience in generator set deployment and management. OEMs or authorized business partners with at least 10 years of operation in Pakistan and local technical support offices in Karachi are preferred. Bidders must submit a bid security in the form of a pay order and comply with all technical and financial bid requirements as per the bidding documents. The bid submission deadline is Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM via the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0. Manual submissions will not be accepted. The technical bid will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM.
