Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the procurement of spares for the Computer Based Interlocking (CBI) system in Islamabad under Pakistan Railways. The department requires specialized electronic components essential for the safe and efficient operation of railway signaling systems, ensuring uninterrupted train movements and enhanced safety protocols.
The scope includes sourcing high-quality spares compatible with existing CBI infrastructure. Given the critical nature of railway signaling, the procurement demands adherence to stringent technical specifications and reliability standards. Islamabad's strategic location as the capital city facilitates easy coordination and delivery logistics for the successful bidder.
Bidders should ensure compliance with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration requirements relevant to electrical and electronic equipment supply. Additionally, valid FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory. It is advisable to prepare the Technical Bid and Financial Bid carefully, including Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per tender rules.
The submission deadline is set for the 6th of February, 2026, with bid opening scheduled the same day. Interested parties must submit sealed bids to the Procurement Directorate at Pakistan Railways, P.R. Carriage Factory, Administrative Block, Sector I-11, Islamabad. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the tender advertisement for any specific stamp duty or Earnest Money requirements, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification.
