Procurement of Surgical and Disposable Items for Sutures

The Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (SICVD) Karachi is procuring a comprehensive range of surgical and disposable items specifically for sutures. This procurement is targeted at suppliers capable of delivering high-quality surgical consumables to SICVD and its network hospitals located across Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Nawabshah, TMK, Hyderabad, Sehwan, Mithi, Khairpur, Liyari, and Baldia. The technical scope covers a wide variety of surgical sutures and related disposable items such as absorbable hemostats, polyglycolic acid sutures, coated braided polyester sutures, monofilament polypropylene sutures, steel wires, silk sutures, pacing wires, and bone wax. Each item has detailed specifications including needle types, sizes, and packaging requirements. The procurement is on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, with delivery expected within 10 days of supply order issuance, subject to a possible one-week grace period. Eligible bidders must comply with mandatory requirements including valid agency certificates, FBR registration with active taxpayer status, NTN, STRN, and professional tax certificates. Experience with supplying to hospitals with at least 300 beds is preferred. Bidders must submit technical bids with detailed specifications, catalogues, and samples for validation. The bid security and performance security requirements are clearly defined, with a bid validity period of 90 days and performance security at 5% of the awarded amount.
