Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGCPL), through its Chief Engineer Asset Management South, invites bids for the procurement of 15,120 liters of fresh Transformer Oil (Class-I) as per IEC-60296 specifications for its Asset Management South Region in Hyderabad, Sindh. This procurement is specific to the NGC region Hyderabad and requires delivery to the A-Type Store NGC Kotri on FCS basis within 90 days from the date of signing the Notification of Award. The scope includes supply, packing, marking, and transportation of transformer oil in iron drums of 210 liters capacity, ensuring compliance with international standards and NGC technical specifications. Bidders must be manufacturers or suppliers legally registered for at least five years, registered with FBR on the Active Taxpayers List, and not blacklisted by any government or donor agency. Experience of at least two similar supply contracts in the last ten years is mandatory, along with financial soundness demonstrated by audited financial statements and bank comfort letters. The bidding process follows a Single Stage One Envelope procedure under National Competitive Bidding. Submission of bids is through EPADs with a hard copy at the Chief Engineer AM South office in Hyderabad. The bid security is 2% of the quoted bid price in PKR, and performance security is 10% of the contract price. The contract price is payable in Pakistani Rupees. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance security and comply with all technical and contractual requirements. The Procuring Agency reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 15% without change in unit price. The delivery schedule and all technical documentation must be strictly adhered to. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids, ensuring all required documents including power of attorney, legal registration, and financial data are complete. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of all required documents on EPADs and to attend the bid opening with a knowledgeable representative to verify bid details, as failure to do so may lead to disqualification or rejection. The submission deadline is 07 July 2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the Chief Engineer AM South office in Hyderabad. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified suppliers to engage with a major national utility and contribute to the reliable operation of Pakistan's power transmission network.
