Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) is inviting bids for the procurement of truck mounted cranes with a capacity of 03 tons. This procurement is specifically for the Multan Division located in Multan City, Punjab. The tender is part of the FY 2026-27 budget allocation and aims to enhance the operational capabilities of MEPCO by adding these essential lifting vehicles.
The technical scope includes the supply of truck mounted cranes suitable for heavy lifting tasks within the power distribution network. Bidders must ensure that the equipment meets the required specifications and quality standards as detailed in the bidding documents available on the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) portal. The procurement process will follow the Single Stage-Two Envelope method using the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules, 2004.
Eligible bidders should be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Experience in supplying similar mechanical equipment to power or industrial sectors will be advantageous. Bid security must be furnished as per the bidding document requirements, and all bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by the deadline.
The key date for bid submission is Tuesday, 14 July 2026, by 11:00 AM, with bid opening scheduled for 11:30 AM on the same day. Interested suppliers should register on EPADS v2.0 before the submission deadline to participate. The submission method is electronic only, and manual bids will not be entertained.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the bid security requirements and ensure timely registration on EPADS to avoid disqualification. Early preparation of technical and financial bids aligned with the tender specifications will improve chances of success in this competitive procurement.
