Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the provision and installation of solar power systems for turbine pumps in UC-08 Darasno Channo, Karachi. This procurement is specifically for the wards and localities including Ward 2 Kala Khan Hotel, Ward 2 Damloti No.08, Waja Ali Muhammad Goth, Washdil Goth, Ghulam Rasool Goth, Allah Bachayo Goth, Jevan Khaskheli Goth, Hashim Jokhio Goth, and Nazar Muhammad Gabol Goth. The department requires experienced and reputable firms to submit their bids in accordance with SPPRA's e-procurement guidelines.
Items being procured:
- PVC insulated & PVC sheeted 4 core copper conductor cables 35mm2 and 16mm2 in various lengths
- VFD inverter for 20 HP and 30 HP three phase motors (imported)
- 720 Watts Mono Bifacial Solar Panels, A Grade
- Earthing cables single core 2.5mm2
- Single core 6mm and 16mm flexible wires
- Earthing pit for AC/DC equipment protection
- 14 AWG galvanized iron frame with walking patch
- Complete installation and commissioning of solar system
- AC/DC distribution system with conduit, ducts, and copper lugs

Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in categories C-6, EE-06 and above, NTN and active tax payer status, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid electrical contractor license from Sindh Government, and proven experience of executing similar works in the last five years with financial soundness demonstrated by bank statements. Bidders must submit bid security of 5% of the estimated cost and tender cost of Rs. 5,000.
The bid submission deadline is **03-08-2026 at 2:00 PM** with bid opening at 2:30 PM on the same day at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road Gurumandir Karachi. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system only. Physical submission of bid security and tender cost pay orders is mandatory before bid opening.
