Providing and Fixing of Tyre Buster at Gate 1

COMSATS University Islamabad is procuring the providing and fixing of a Tyre Buster at Gate 1 located at Park Road, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically for the installation of a hot dipped galvanized locally fabricated tyre killer made from 6mm thick MS sections with independent free operating blades and a base tray. The work includes cutting, welding, bending, binding, and fixing on the road surface, whether soft or hard, as directed by the Engineer In charge. Additionally, the scope covers providing and laying UPVC soil, waste, and vent pipes of 3" diameter including manholes, imported rubber ring fittings, jointing, cutting, excavation, and repairing any damages to concrete or road surfaces. Eligible bidders must be registered firms or companies on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) for GST and Income Tax with FBR and must hold a valid PEC license in Category C-6. Experience is mandatory with proof of at least three similar contracts over Rs. 500,000 each in the last five years. The bid security of Rs. 45,000 must be submitted as a Call Deposit or Bank Draft in favor of COMSATS University Islamabad. The tender follows the Single-Stage Two-Envelope method and all bids must be submitted through the EPADS portal with a hard copy of the bid security and documents physically delivered by the closing date. The closing date for submission is June 8, 2026, by 1100 hours, with technical bids opening half an hour later in the presence of bidders. The delivery location is the Store Section behind the Main Library, Entry through Gate 1. The contract includes a one-year free repair and maintenance period for the executed work. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all mandatory documents including the declaration form, bid security, and technical compliance sheets are complete and uploaded correctly on EPADS to avoid disqualification. Also, timely physical submission of the bid security is crucial as failure to submit it physically will result in rejection of the bid.
