Provision of Bore Earthing System at PMDC Salt Mines Khewra

The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites bids for the provision of a Bore Earthing System at its Salt Mines located in Khewra, Punjab. This procurement is specifically for the installation and supply of earthing systems across six designated locations within the mine site, including the power house, gun powder magazines, tunnel mouth, depot grinding plant, and officer colony gate. The scope includes the provision of earth bores 200 feet underground, procurement of 4-inch casing totaling 1200 feet, and complete copper rod installation with earth pits, noting that copper rods are already available on site. Interested suppliers must be registered with the Sales Tax/Income Tax Department, Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), and be on the active taxpayer list of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Bidders should have at least three years of relevant experience in supply and installation services, supported by work orders or experience certificates. The tender requires submission of earnest money (bid security) of PKR 75,000 in the form of a demand draft or pay order in favor of PMDC. The bid security must be submitted before the online submission deadline. The tender documents are available for free download from the EPADS/PPRA website. Electronic bids must be submitted via EPADS by 01 June 2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening scheduled for the same day at 11:30 AM at the PMDC Head Office in Islamabad. The tender will be awarded on a least cost basis to the technically responsive bidder. The successful bidder will be required to deposit a security money equivalent to 10% of the total contract value and execute a contract with a defect liability period of 12 months. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all documents, including CNIC, NTN/STRN registration, financial soundness proof, affidavits regarding litigation and disputes, and a certificate of no conflict with PMDC, are complete and attached as per the checklist.
