Provision of Shade Over Masjid Courtyard at CUI Islamabad Campus

The Comsats University, Islamabad (Islamabad Campus) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified contractors for the provision of a tensile shade structure over the Masjid courtyard at the CUI Islamabad Campus. This procurement is for the fiscal year 2026-27 and involves comprehensive civil and structural works including excavation, concrete works, steel reinforcement, marble tiling, plastering, brick masonry, artificial stone laying, painting, and the supply and installation of a PTFE/Teflon tensile membrane dome structure. Items being procured: - Excavation in all kinds of soil upto all depths and stacking of excavated material - P.C.C (1:4:8) concrete for foundations - R.C.C work with pre-mixed reinforced cement concrete - Steel reinforcement bars (M.S deformed bars grade 60) - Marble tile flooring and marble slab laying - Cement sand plaster on external walls - First class solid burnt brick masonry - Artificial coloured cement concrete Chakwal stone - Acrylic resin based graffito/weather coat paint - PTFE/Teflon tensile membrane dome structure approx. 80 ft × 70 ft with all structural steel, foundations, purlins, anchor bolts, tubular steel columns, trusses, bracing, base plates, hot-dip galvanizing, cables, clamps, tensioning system, rainwater pipes, and accessories - Dismantling and removal of existing brick masonry/PCC The scope includes complete supply, installation, fixing, and commissioning of the tensile shade structure as per approved structural designs and drawings. The contractor must ensure compliance with all technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The site will remain operational during construction, requiring careful site management and safety measures including full cordoning off of the work area. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in category C-6 or above with relevant specialization, NTN and GST registration with active taxpayer status, minimum 5 years of experience in tensile shade steel works, completion of at least three similar projects in the last 3 years, and an average annual turnover of at least PKR 10 million. Bid security of PKR 500,000 is required. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by 24 September 2026 at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Technical bids will be evaluated on a least cost basis. The contract duration is 60 days from commencement. Performance security of 10% of contract price is required upon award. Bidders are advised to visit the site prior to submission to assess conditions and logistics.
