Tender Description
The Federal Government Polyclinic Islamabad (FGPC-PGMI) is procuring electro-medical equipment specifically for its Surgery Department under the PSDP project for the financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27. This procurement is based in Islamabad and aims to enhance surgical capabilities with advanced medical devices.
The technical scope includes a wide range of high-end electro-medical equipment such as 3D laparoscopic units, 4K laparoscopy camera towers, blood warmers, cautery units, choledochoscopes, dermatomes with accessories, flexible sigmoidoscopes, laparoscopic bariatric sets, stapling guns, laser machines with accessories, ligasure hand pieces for laparoscopic and open surgery, nerve stimulators, open stapling guns, portable ultrasound systems, self-retaining surgical retractors, sterilization solution sprayers, heavy-duty suction machines, Thomas splints, vascular clamp sets, and vessel sealer generators. Each item comes with a two-year warranty and requires onsite installation, demonstration, and end-user training.
Eligibility criteria are stringent, requiring bidders to have valid FBR/ATL registration, PEC category compliance, and proven experience with similar public sector or tertiary care hospital projects. Bidders must provide manufacturer authorization, technical brochures, and demonstrate after-sales service capability including factory-trained engineers and workshop facilities. The country of origin for equipment must be USA, Europe, or Japan with relevant certifications such as FDA, CE, or MHLW.
Key dates include the bid submission deadline on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM via the EPADS v2.0 system, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Manual submissions are not accepted. The bid security must be submitted physically before the deadline. The procurement method is Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS).
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to submit all required documents including original bid security physically to FGPC before the deadline. Attention to detail in technical compliance and documentation authenticity is critical to avoid disqualification. Bidders should also prepare for onsite demonstrations and after-sales service commitments as these are key evaluation factors.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified suppliers to contribute to the advancement of surgical services at a premier federal healthcare institution in Islamabad.
